Greece is hosting NANOTEX, the premiere international exhibition, conference, expo, and academic session on nanotechnologies and organic electronics in Thessaloniki from July 9-16, 2011.

The event brings together the world’s leading nanotechnology experts and a large number of Greek scientists are making presentations.

Greece has advanced rapidly in the field of nanotechnology and microelectronics during the last decade and is well positioned to expand its research capabilities and international partnerships within this cutting edge discipline, in which many future technological developments depend.
The event is being held at the ‘Ioannis Vellidis’ Congress Centre, in Thessaloniki and is comprised of four main tracks:
•  4th International Symposium on Flexible Organic Electronics (ISFOE11) 10-13 July
•  8th International Conference on Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies (NN11) 12-15 July
•  5th International Summer School “N&N:Organic Electronics & Nanomedicine” (ISSON-11) 9-16 July
•  NANOTEXNOLOGY EXPO 2011, 11-15 July

Parallel events transform NANOTEX into a comprehensive gathering that examines global currents and the latest research in a variety of disciplines. In addition to the four main tracks, NANOTEX is hosting the OPV Workshop and Nanotechnology Innovation for Photovoltaics Nano4PVs, a special workshop co-organised with EU "PV Cluster 3"; Presentations of more than 60 EC Projects (NMP, ICT, HEALTH, Energy) and information from the latest EC Proposal Evaluation and topics for FP8; a Nanomedical Round Table (Nanomedicine Challenges in Clinical Practice) & Debate (Nanomedicine efficacy vs Toxicity) and a Brokerage Event (B2B) to boost the Technology Transfer and Business Partnerships, the brokerage event is organised by Enterprise Europe Network - Hellas coordinator, the Praxi/Help-Forward Network and HELEXPO.

NANOTEX 2011 is an ideal opportunity to explore the opportunities in Greece, Southeastern Europe, and the greater Balkan area in the emerging fields of Nanotechnologies & Organic electronics.

The ΝΑΝΟΤΕΧ 2011 exhibition (11-15 July 2011) offers an outstanding opportunity to meet the emerging nanotech industry, related companies active in the fields of nanotechnologies, organic electronics and applications, academic institutions and research centres, international leading scientists and researchers developing and applying nanotechnology. Visitors will see the whole range of the state-of-the-art nanotechnology based technologies and latest break-through products through its commercialisation.

Exhibition sections:
• Large scale Organic Electronics & Photonics
• Micro & Nanoelectronics
• Nanotechnology in Energy & Environment
• NanoFabrication & Nano-Construction
• Metrology, Equipment & Characterisation systems
• Nanotechnology in Agriculture & Food
• Nanotextile – Clothing & Fashion
• Nanomedicine
• Nano Biotechnology & Pharmacy
• Business & Venture

The NN (12-15 July 2011) is the internationally established world-class event in Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies (N&N) that focuses on the latest advances on N&N and promotes profound scientific discussions between scientists and researchers from different disciplines. Scientists and engineers from multidisciplinary research and application areas join this conference to discuss the benefits of N&N in their R&D efforts, to advance networking and collaboration between different academia, research and industry players in the field and to stimulate the exchange of educational concepts. The conference includes lectures from leading scientists and industry experts, oral and poster presentations, and nanotechnology instrumentation exhibition and surrounding events.

ISFOE11 (10-13 July 2011)—the 4th International Symposium on Flexible Organic Electronic—is the premier scientific and research event in organic electronics devoted to convene scientists, engineers and industries from around the world and to exchange information and provide access to the latest developments in a variety of topics including organic electronic printable materials, device structures, system integrations, manufacturing processes, characterisation and monitoring, product applications and business opportunities.

The IS-FOE11 consists of several events—plenary and keynote presentations, oral presentations, a main scientific symposium including peer-reviewed sessions and roundtable discussions, special sessions with top-level presentations from EC Project representatives, poster sessions and exhibitions from companies in the field.

The IS-FOE11 Workshops and Topic cover the most advanced subjects in the areas of:
• Organic electronic materials (small molecule & polymers)
• Organic/inorganic and hybrid materials and systems
• Flexible substrates & encapsulation methods & materials
• Molecular electronics & Photonics
• Self-organised molecules and systems
• Theory & Modelling (materials, components and devices)
• Manufacturing processes (printing, vacuum, chemical) & quality control processes
• Flexible Displays & Lighting
• Flexible Solar Cells & Batteries
• Flexible Circuits & Sensors
• Flexible RFIDs & Smart Textiles
• Integrated Smart Systems

The ISSON Summer School (9,10,16 July), will review the current state of knowledge in several fields of NN for the training of the next-generation researchers and scientists in the multidisciplinary fields of NN. The ISSON lectures will be given by exceptional lecturers from universities, research institutions and industry, from Europe and USA, and the lecture programme will include plenary and parallel sessions in order for the ISSON students to fix their own attendance schedule.

The ISSON lectures will focus on cutting-edge scientific subjects, divided in three specific schools in the emerging areas of:
School 1. N&N (Nanomaterials, Nanoscale Characterisation, Latest Applications)
School 2. Organic Electronics (Devices, Materials, Manufacturing, Applications)
School 3. Nanomedicine (Nanobiotechnology, Nanomedicine, Methods, Applications)

Who Should Attend?
• Undergraduate students
• Graduate students
• Post Graduate Students
• Post Doctoral Fellows
• Researcher Scientists
• All those who wish to be introduced and apply nanotechnology in their research activities
