Cooperation with Thailand
Rural Development and Food Minister Alexandros Kontos met the visiting Minister of Science and Technology from Thailand, Yongyut Yutthawong, to discuss cooperation between Greece and Thailand in the agricultural sector and to promote Greek products in the Thai market.

Delegation to Cairo
A delegation from the Association of Knitting—Ready-made Clothing Enterprises of Greece (SEPEE) has conducted a three-day visit to Cairo to investigate the prospects of expansion by Greek ready-made clothing businesses in Egypt.

Mission to Serbia
The Hellenic Export Promotion Organisation, in cooperation with the Greek-Serbian Business Council, completed a mission to Belgrade. The business delegation included 15 Greek enterprises from the food, building materials, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors. Greek companies completed 110 business meeting with Serbian enterprises and expressed their confidence that many of the meetings would result in significant agreements and partnerships.

A total of 120 Greek enterprises, and an additional 150 mixed enterprises, are currently operating in the Serbian market, employing more than 25,000 workers. Direct investments to Serbia by Greek eneterprises total 1.8 billion EURO, ranking Greece at the top of the foreign investors in the country. Bilateral trade exceeded 320 million EURO in 2006, up from 175.38 million in 2005. Greek exports to Serbia totaled 189.5 million EURO in 2006, up 74.08 percent from the previous year.

Agreement with Cairo Chamber
The Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cairo Chamber of Commerce signed a cooperation agreement that promotes the development of trade relations between Greece and Egypt. Representatives of both sides stressed the importance of strengthening trade relations between the two countries. The volume of trade between Greece and Egypt amounts to 500 million dollars.
