Dimitris Skalkos was born in Athens in 1971. He graduated from the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Panteion University and holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom.

He has authored four books on political science, economic reforms, and regional development and has published a considerable number of research articles in academic journals.

He has served as a special advisor to the Ministries of Environment, Urban Planning and Public Works, Agriculture, Economy, and Development, and as an advisor to the president of New Democracy party, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on economic development matters.

During the period 2019-2024, Mr. Skalkos served as the Secretary General of Public Investments and NSRF at the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, a member of the Executive Committee of the Recovery and Resilience Fund, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Development Bank.

Marinos Giannopoulos is an experienced finance and academic professional with a Doctorate in Strategic Management. For several years he lived and was active in the UK where he worked in the City of London as a banking executive and business consultant. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Management School, University of Liverpool, a master’s degree in international business economics from City University London, and a PhD from Brunel University London, with the thesis title: “Divesting assets and redeploying resources as predictors of the performance of acquisitions: The case of Greece.”

Prior to assuming his current duties as CEO of Enterprise Greece, he worked for more than a decade in the banking industry, both in Greece and abroad. He has extensive experience in managing credit risk in investment banking portfolios and participated in the management and consolidation of credit risk portfolios at financial institutions and companies in emerging Europe.

Upon returning to Greece, he led the team at one of Greece’s leading banks responsible for facilitating in the implementation of Greece’s National Recovery and Resilience Fund − Greece 2.0 − while also liaising with European development bodies and Greek government agencies.

He served as advisor to New Democracy’s Secretariat for International Relations & European Union from 2013 to 2019. He has been a member of various academic and professional committees and has been actively engaged in research and writing with numerous articles published in leading international journals, such as the Journal for Global Business Advancement and the International Journal of Business and Economic Sciences. At the same time, he also taught at Brunel University and the Hellenic Open University in the fields of Strategic Management and Business Economics.

{slider Betty Alexandropoulou – Member of the Board}

Ms. Alexandropoulou served as Special Advisor to the Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Enterprise Greece and she comes with vast experience in senior leadership roles within government as well as private-sector multinational organizations, and several years abroad in countries such as Switzerland, Argentina, and the United States.  

Formerly a Senior Commercial Advisor for the U.S. Department of Commerce at the U.S. Embassy in Greece, her portfolio included Healthcare and ICT sectors and the SelectUSA  global program which facilitates U.S. foreign direct  investment. Before that, she had accumulated over 18 years of experience in senior executive positions with blue-chip companies like AT&T and Vodafone. A seasoned professional in managing global projects and teams, she specializes in international market expansion as related to trade promotion and investment attraction, as well as business transformation.

Ms. Alexandropoulou holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Economics & French Literature, with honors distinction,  from universities in the United States, and a Professional Certified Coach Credential by ICF (International Coach Federation). She has served in business associations such as the Propeller Club and the American Chamber of Commerce and has participated in various conferences and industry forums as a keynote and panel speaker. Ms. Alexandropoulou is  multicultural and communicates in several languages – native English and Greek, as well as fluent French and Spanish.

Kalia Konstantinidou was born and raised in Athens and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Shipping from University of Wales, Cardiff and a Master’s Degree in PR & Communication, from European University, Switzerland.

She is a passionate leader in hospitality, managing luxury boutique hotels on the Greek islands and the Peloponnese, currently holding the position of the Vice President of Empiria Group.

Kalia’s expertise is best showcased through the company’s multi-awarded hotels in Santorini and Paros, that operate under the emblematic brands of Marriott International, while she contributes to Marriott International’s Franchise Advisory Council.

Throughout her extensive 25-year career in the tourism industry, she has dedicated herself to elevating Greece’s hotel sector, infusing it with her wealth of expertise and unwavering dedication.

Ilias Grigoriou is an Economist and has a doctorate from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has a degree in Economics from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences/National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s Degree in “Organization and Management of Health Services”, from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Over the past fifteen years, he has works as a business consultant to various companies, specializing in the Healthcare sector, ranging from pharmaceuticals to health service structures.

He is an elected Regional Councilor of the Region of Attica and Regional vice Governor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

He is married and has two children.
