Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is the premier global exhibition for the cosmetics and beauty industry, attracting hundreds of exhibitors and visitors from around the world each year. It serves as a central platform for creating international networks and enhancing the competitiveness of companies in the industry.

With Greece’s successful participation, Enterprise Greece contributed to showcasing the country as a rapidly rising power in the global cosmetics industry. Greek products impressed attendees and received positive reviews for their innovation and the high quality of their raw materials, positioning Greece as a strong player in the international market.

It is worth noting that this year, the exhibition space at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna increased by 5.8% compared to the previous year, hosting 29 national pavilions. A total of 3,128 exhibitors from 65 countries participated, representing more than 10,000 brands, and approximately 255,000 visitors from 150 countries attended the exhibition.

The main sectors of the exhibition were as follows:

Commenting on the impressive growth of the cosmetics sector, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO of Enterprise Greece, said: “Demand for Greek cosmetics has been on the rise in recent years, as confirmed by official data showing a 37.4% increase in exports from 2021 to 2024. This mainly concerns essential oils, fragrances, aromatic substances, perfumery products, cosmetics or beautifying preparations, soaps, and cleaning products. This upward trend is largely due to the exceptional quality of products and the innovations applied by Greek businesses in their production processes, which enhances the sector’s dynamic and boosts their export potential. Enterprise Greece actively supports Greek companies in this sector by undertaking actions and initiatives aimed at strengthening Greece’s beauty and personal care industry and increasing Greek exports on the global map.”
