Mission of Foreign and Economic Diplomats to the Region of Northern Aegean, November 5-8, 2008

Invest in Greece Agency led the mission to the North Aegean, accompanied by 36 diplomats resident in Greece to the region of Northern Aegean, with a base on the island of Mytilene.

Dr. Dimitrios Pazaitis, CEO of Invest in Greece Agency underlined that the Agency’s new strategic philosophy to focus on the targeted promotion of investment opportunities, the constant support of investors, and the initiatives directed toward improving the institutional framework governing investments.

General Secretary of the Region of Northern Aegean, Mr. Ioannis Lekkas, addressed the delegates as did representatives from the Prefecture administrations of Lesvos, Chios, and Samos, the University of Aegean, GNTO’sInvestment Division, the Renewable Energy Sources Center, the Chambers of Lesvos, Chios, and Samos, the Hoteliers Association of Lesvos, the Association of Mastihaproducers of Chios, theWinemaking Cooperatives Association of Samos, the Agricultural Cooperatives Association of Lemnos and the Association of Lesvo’s Distillers. Guests visited factories and industrial units in the city of Mytilene and the traditional settlement in Ayiaso.
