Mission of Foreign and Economic Diplomats to the Region of Epirus, December 16, 2008 

Invest in Greece Agency, in cooperation with the Region of Epirus, organised a Regional Government in Epirus event on December 16, 2008. Mr. D. Panozahos, Secretary General of the Region of Epirus, welcomed the delegates and Invest in Greece Chairman and CEO, Dr. Dimitrios Pazaitis presented the Agency’s activities and analysed new approaches in recording regional investment opportunities.

Secretary General, Mr. Panozahos underlined the dynamic development the region has shown in the last decade, saying “Epirus has freed itself from the limitations of the past and is showing outward looking tendencies, a trend which is reflected in the encouraging economic data of the region”.

Dr. Pazaitis referred to the comparative advantages of the Region of Epirus, underscoring that what was considered until recently a disadvantage can in fact propel economic progress and development. He was in full agreement with Mr. Panozahos that the region needs to increase its outward looking approach and he emphasised the developmental dimension and business operation of Invest in Greece Agency, which acts as a catalyst in regional development.
