The WTO and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) have launched a new booklet highlighting the need for open trade policies and harmonized product standards to support the deployment of solar photovoltaic (PV) technologies. By assisting an expansion in solar energy, trade can contribute to environmental goals and support economic recovery in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis, the booklet states.
