Invest in EU Programme
03 March 2021 |The new InvestEU programme follows and replaces the current EFSI (European Fund for Strategic Investments), set up after the financial crisis. It is has been designed to address the challenge of catering for multiple objectives in terms of simplification, flexibility, synergies and coherence across relevant EU policies. It will bring diverse EU financial instruments within a single structure, making EU funding for investment projects in Europe simpler and more efficient and flexible. The programme aims to boost strategic investments into manufacturing pharmaceuticals, medical devices and supplies as well as the production of Information and Communication Technology, components and devices in the EU. Additionally, capital support will be provided to SMEs that have been negatively affected by the crisis caused by the pandemic.
