The Committee on International Trade will discuss the request for a waiver from intellectual property (IP) protections under the TRIPS Agreement for the prevention, containment and treatment of COVID-19 within the broader framework of increasing production capacity for vaccines, on 25 May. The Committee will also vote on its report regarding the trade-related aspects and implications of COVID-19. This will be the Committee's main input to the Commission's ongoing Trade Policy Review.
