ITC - How can we help small business affected by the COVID-19 crisis?
07 April 2020 |As COVID-19 moves from a health crisis to an economic crisis, businesses themselves are likely to travel through a four-phase process: shutdown, supply-chain disruption, demand depression and finally, recovery. As they move from shutdown to recovery, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) will face a combination of threats to their survival: collapsing demand and access to liquidity, accessing inputs and managing inventory, managing the work environment, policy uncertainty and disrupted supply chains, accessing emergency support. Business could reactivate linkages through modifying the playbook, getting ready with data, (re) building the ecosystem, thinking value chains and alliances and focusing on finance.
