ANUGA 2025 International Trade Fair Greece shines among 110 countries

Athens, October 14, 2025 | ANUGA 2025, the world’s largest international food trade fair, concluded successfully, with Greece emerging as one of the event’s standout participants. The national participation, organized by Enterprise Greece, received excellent feedback and captured the attention of thousands of visitors and industry professionals from all over the world.

This year’s ANUGA set a record with over 8,000 exhibitors from 110 countries and 140,000 trade visitors from 190 countries. Against this impressive international backdrop, Greece ranked 6th worldwide among national participations, confirming its leading role in contemporary gastronomy and showcasing the quality, innovation, and authenticity of Greek products to a global audience.

The National Pavilion, spanning 2,400 sq.m., served as a true “ambassador of Greek taste.” Its modern design and — above all — the participation of 140 outward-looking Greek companies presenting the finest products of Greek gastronomy attracted attention and created an outstanding impression.

The participation of the regions of Attica, Western Greece, Thessaly, Epirus, and Central Greece, as well as the Chambers of Aetolia-Acarnania, Achaia, Euboea, Ilia, Larissa, and Trikala, was particularly significant. They joined forces with Enterprise Greece to actively support small and very small businesses in the agri-food sector.

During the exhibition, Greek exhibitors held over 20,000 business meetings, opening new avenues for collaboration and strengthening the international recognition of Greek products.

The national mission was honored by the presence of Mr. Antonis Filippis, Secretary General of Agricultural Policy and International Relations at the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, who toured the National Pavilion accompanied by Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO of Enterprise Greece.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Filippis stated:
“Greece’s presence at ANUGA 2025 exceeded all expectations — both in terms of participation and the quality of products. In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Enterprise Greece, we will continue implementing initiatives that enhance the international reach and competitiveness of Greek companies.”

Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO of Enterprise Greece, added:
“Greek food exports continue their steady upward trajectory, despite a challenging international environment. In 2025, they are expected to reach a new record, surpassing €11.2 billion in 2024. The companies participating in ANUGA expressed enthusiasm and optimism for the future — a message that motivates us to further strengthen Enterprise Greece’s action plan, both in established and emerging markets with high growth potential.”

To better inform and support Greek exhibitors, close cooperation was maintained with the Economic and Commercial Affairs Office of the Greek Consulate in Düsseldorf. The head of the office, Ms. Nonika Papadopoulou, engaged with all exhibitors, contributing to the enhancement of Greece’s presence and image in the international food market.
