Strong National Presence at the PLMA 2025 – International Private Label Trade Show

Athens, June 4, 2025 | Greece’s national participation made a strong impression at the 40th PLMA 2025 International Private Label Trade Show, which took place from May 20–21, 2025, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, attracting over 30,000 trade visitors from 125 countries.

The PLMA International Trade Show holds the leading global position in the private label products category, representing hundreds of billions in global turnover. It brings together representatives from the largest retail chains in Europe and beyond, all seeking new products, new contacts, and fresh ideas.

At the national pavilion organized by Enterprise Greece, 43 dynamic export-oriented companies—primarily from the food and beverage sector—were hosted in a 594 m² exhibition space. These companies showcased outstanding Greek food products and held more than 3,000 B2B meetings.

The private label segment is highly significant for Greek exports. Key sectors such as canned peaches contribute hundreds of millions of euros in global exports while supporting thousands of jobs in both food processing and the primary agricultural sector.

Foreign trade visitors continue to show strong interest in Greek food products, fostering productive business meetings between Greek exporters and international professionals. Many of these interactions create prospects for deeper penetration of Greek products and increased market share on the shelves of major global retailers.

Greece’s national participation was honored by the presence of Mr. Apostolos Michalopoulos, Head of the Economic and Commercial Affairs Office at the Greek Embassy in The Hague and Senior Counselor for Economic and Commercial Affairs, who engaged with Greek exhibitors.

Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO of Enterprise Greece, stated: “The private label sector is constantly growing, offering exceptional opportunities for iconic Greek products such as table olives and canned peaches to be exported worldwide. Greece has had a strong and uninterrupted presence at PLMA Amsterdam for the past 10 years with an increasing number of participating companies—proof of the steady rise in exports of Greek food and beverage products.”
