Strong Greek Presence at Big 5 Global 2025
41 companies, top design and international recognition
Athens, 10 December 2025 | Greece took center stage with its largest and most upgraded participation to date at Big 5 Global 2025, the most important exhibition for the construction and building materials sector in the Middle East, held in Dubai from 24 to 27 November 2025. As every year, the Hellenic Investment and Foreign Trade Company (Enterprise Greece) coordinated and organized the national delegation.
This year’s event attracted more than 85,000 visitors and industry professionals from around the world, while over 2,800 exhibitors participated, showcasing more than 60,000 products, solutions, and services. Participants came from 165 countries, and the exhibition featured roundtable sessions, workshops, thematic conferences, and business events with more than 500 international speakers.
At the same time, Big 5 Global hosted a series of specialized thematic exhibitions such as: Heavy, Totally Concrete, Marble & Stone World, Urban Design & Landscape, Windows/Doors & Facades, HVACR World, LiveableCitiesX, GeoWorld, Future FM, and others. Special emphasis was placed on sustainability, digital tools, AI, BIM, digital twins, smart cities, facility management, and the technological advancement of the construction sector.
A strong presence from 41 Greek companies
The national delegation, consisting of 41 companies across 10 halls and 1,300 sq.m. of exhibition space, stood out for the high quality of its products and services. The new architectural and aesthetic approach of the Greek pavilions—designed by Enterprise Greece—significantly enhanced the image of the Greek presence, drawing strong international interest.
On the first day of the exhibition, the Greek delegation was visited by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, a distinguished member of Dubai’s royal family. Joining the official tour of the Greek pavilions were the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, the Head of the Economic and Commercial Affairs Office of the Greek Embassy in Dubai, Mr. Theodoros Xypolias, as well as senior executives of Enterprise Greece.
For yet another year, Greece had the largest national participation in the Startup City area, with six Greek companies presenting innovative technologies: advanced data science systems and process optimization software, AI algorithms for autonomous robotic systems, fiber-optic technologies for monitoring critical parameters in complex structures, computer vision solutions for renewable energy and green applications, and automation platforms for the design and documentation of electrical and IoT projects.
Enterprise Greece also delivered a dedicated presentation on the Greek startup ecosystem, highlighting the country’s continuous technological progress and the outward-looking nature of Greek startups.
The special exhibition area dedicated to Greek Marble, presented in collaboration with the Association of Marble Companies of Macedonia–Thrace (S.E.M.M.TH.), was also successfully showcased. Located in a central corridor of the exhibition center, the space impressed visitors with its contemporary design while highlighting the uniqueness of Greek marble. With the moto “Take a piece of Greece with you,” architects, engineers, and decision makers were, for the first time, able to take samples from many varieties of Greek marble, significantly boosting the sector’s visibility.
Referring to the Greek presence at this major international exhibition, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, stated:
“Greece’s participation in Big 5 Global 2025 once again demonstrates the dynamism, quality, and competitiveness of Greek companies in the sector. With a strong presence, an upgraded image, and significant innovations, Greek enterprises proved that they can be leaders in the global construction and building materials environment. Enterprise Greece will continue to actively support the extroversion, innovation, and international networking of Greek businesses, showcasing a Greece that evolves, innovates, and enters new markets.”
