Business Mission to Czechia

Athens, 12 June 2026 | Enterprise Greece, SEV (Hellenic Federation of Enterprises), ACCI (Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry), and SEVE (Hellenic Federation of Exporters), in cooperation with the Greek Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs in Prague, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic (SPČR), and with the support of Eurobank and the Hellenic-Czech Chamber of Commerce, organized a Business Mission to Prague, Czech Republic, from Monday 8 to Wednesday 10 June 2026. The Secretary General for International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Enterprise Greece, Mr. Dimitris Skalkos, led the mission.

The mission included 9 Greek exporting companies from the sectors of: construction & building materials, energy, real estate, food & beverages, and pharmaceuticals & cosmetics.

As part of the mission, on Monday 8 June 2026, the members of the Greek delegation, together with invited representatives of the Czech business and institutional community, attended a reception at the Greek Ambassador’s Residence hosted by the Ambassador of Greece to Czechia, Mr. Dinos Konstantinou.

On Tuesday 9 June, a business Forum was held with opening speeches by:

Mr. David Müller – Director General for the European Union and Foreign Trade, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic,
Mr. Dimitris Skalkos – Secretary General for International Economic Affairs, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Enterprise Greece,
Mr. Lukáš Martin – Director of the International Relations Department, Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic.

In parallel, approximately 60 targeted B2B business meetings took place between the participating Greek companies and their Czech counterparts at the premises of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

In the afternoon, Eurobank hosted a dinner in honor of the participants, confirming its active support for the promotion and strengthening of Greek businesses’ extroversion through its digital platform Exportgate.

Mr. Dimitris Skalkos, Secretary General for International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Enterprise Greece, stated: «The results of the Greece-Czechia Business Forum and the numerous business contacts made during the bilateral meetings reflected the high level of our bilateral economic and trade relations, as well as the significant prospects for their further deepening, mainly in the sectors of energy, construction, healthcare services and pharmaceuticals, and agri-food. In a period of increased international economic uncertainty, the Greek economy is strengthening its extroversion through its exporting companies and its investment presence in European and international markets. In the coming period, a series of targeted actions will follow to strengthen our economic and trade cooperation with Czechia.»

Ms. Vicky Makrygianni, Director of International Relations at SEV, stated: «Czechia is a dynamic and technologically advanced economy with significant cooperation potential for Greek businesses. The response of Czech companies and the high quality of the business meetings in Prague confirmed that there are still untapped opportunities for new commercial and investment synergies. Our goal is to turn the strong interest recorded into tangible business results for the benefit of both economies».

Ms. Eleni Foti, Director of International Trade Relations at EBEA, noted: «The business mission to Prague confirmed the increased interest in strengthening cooperation between Greek and Czech businesses. Czechia is a key economic partner in Central Europe, with a strong industrial base, highly skilled workforce, and business-friendly environment. Combined with Greece’s strategic location and dynamically developing economy, significant opportunities are created for the further strengthening of bilateral trade, investment, and business partnerships, as confirmed in the contacts and meetings held. Encouraging the extroversion of Greek businesses and facilitating global partnerships is one of the top priorities of EBEA.»

On behalf of SEVE, it was stated that the business mission to Czechia confirms the dynamic of the economic relations between the two countries, which have shown steady growth in recent years, with bilateral trade exceeding €1.18 billion in 2025, while Greek exports to the Czech market continued their upward trend, reaching €405 million. These figures highlight the significant potential for further development of bilateral trade and investment relations, with Czechia being a mature and particularly interesting market for Greek businesses.
