Enterprise Greece and Invest Cyprus renew their Memorandum of Understanding
Athens, 21 April 2026 | Enterprise Greece, the Hellenic Investment and Foreign Trade Company, and Invest Cyprus, the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency, signed on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, the renewal of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reaffirming the excellent level of bilateral economic relations between Greece and Cyprus, as well as their shared commitment to further deepen cooperation in the fields of investment, entrepreneurship, and international outreach.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Mr. Dimitris Skalkos, Secretary General for International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chairman of Enterprise Greece, and Mr. Marios Tannousis, Chief Executive Officer of Invest Cyprus.
The renewed Memorandum establishes an updated framework for cooperation in the exchange of information and expertise, strengthening the connectivity between the business and investment ecosystems of the two countries and supporting joint initiatives that promote Greece and Cyprus as attractive business and investment destinations.
Emphasis is placed on sectors of shared strategic interest, including energy, shipping, tourism, technology, innovation, education, research, and healthcare, as well as on initiatives such as the exchange of business and investment delegations, the co-organization of events, and the enhancement of networking between companies and institutional stakeholders.
Trade relations between Greece and Cyprus have remained consistently strong over time, confirming the high level of economic interconnectedness between the two countries. Greece ranks among Cyprus’s most important trading partners, while the further strengthening of cooperation creates additional opportunities for investment, enhanced international outreach, and the development of joint business initiatives.
The renewal of cooperation between Enterprise Greece and Invest Cyprus reflects the strategic closeness of Greece and Cyprus and highlights the potential for an even closer economic and investment partnership for their mutual benefit.
