Training seminars for businesses targeting international markets begin on 5 October 2026
Five thematic modules aimed at strengthening export skills
Athens, 24 September 2026 | Following the successful completion of the online training seminars in June 2026, Enterprise Greece Exports Academy continues its initiative to educate and empower export-oriented businesses, with the “Training Programme for Exporting and Potentially Exporting Businesses” being offered once again, starting on 5 October 2026.
The programme is addressed both to businesses that already have export activity and wish to develop it further, and to businesses that are preparing to take their first steps in international markets. The aim is to provide applicable knowledge and practical tools that can be used in the day-to-day operations of a business and in the planning of its international development.
Knowledge as a prerequisite for sustainable export growth
Expansion into international markets creates significant opportunities for Greek businesses, but at the same time requires adaptation to a business environment that is changing rapidly: new technologies, shifting consumer patterns, increased compliance requirements, new forms of commercial communication, and a growing need for specialized skills.
In this environment, strengthening outward orientation and building a strong and recognizable identity in international markets is a strategic priority for the country. The Strategic Plan for Outward Orientation 2026–2030 places at its core the expansion of the presence of Greek businesses abroad and the increase of Greek exports by 40 percent by 2030.
Achieving these goals is directly linked to upgrading the knowledge and skills of the workforce. According to the Future of Jobs Report 2025 of the World Economic Forum, 63% of employers consider skills gaps to be a key obstacle to business transformation, while by 2030 it is estimated that approximately 39% of core skills required in the labor market will have changed.
The Enterprise Greece Exports Academy responds to this need by linking education with the real challenges that businesses face when planning or developing their export activity.
Five thematic modules with a practical focus
The training programme includes five self-contained thematic modules that cover key stages and functions of export activity:
- Basic principles of managing an export trading business
- Planning of outward-oriented entrepreneurship actions
- Costing and Finance – Technology and Information Systems
- Communication and customer service in export trade
- Institutional framework for exports and Incoterms – International Commercial Terms
Each thematic module has a total duration of 15 hours and includes five three-hour online sessions. Groups are small to encourage interaction and active participation by trainees.
Interested parties have the option to select one or more thematic modules according to the needs of their business, without being required to attend the entire programme.
Upon completion of each module, participants receive a Certificate of Attendance from the Enterprise Greece Exports Academy.
The deadline for submitting applications is five (5) days before the start of each thematic module. Due to the limited number of places, priority will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Exports Academy closer to businesses throughout Greece
In parallel with the online programme, Enterprise Greece, through the Exports Academy, is expanding its educational activity across the country by organising in-person workshops with Chambers, Regions, Outward Orientation Offices and sectoral bodies. The aim is for training to reach closer to local business ecosystems and their real needs.
In the same context, Enterprise Greece has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for the development of three specialised training programmes in the fields of Agri-food, the Pharmaceutical Industry and Cosmetics, as well as Digital Commerce and Artificial Intelligence.
With the Exports Academy, Enterprise Greece is systematically investing in the knowledge and skills of Greek businesses, strengthening their ability to seize new opportunities and develop their presence in international markets.
