The Greek Space Ecosystem Conquers the International Stage

 

Athens, 5 December 2025 | Greece participated with a strong and upgraded presence at Space Tech Expo Europe 2025, the leading European event for space technology and the broader space value chain, held from 18 to 20 November in Bremen. The country was represented with a national pavilion under the unified brand “Space Technology Made in Greece”, showcasing the significant technological expertise, innovation, and international outlook of the Greek space industry.

Space Tech Expo 2025 attracted a record number of participants, with additional national delegations and major international announcements during the forums and conferences, confirming the rapidly increasing interest in the European space market. Within this dynamic context, the Greek presence stood out for its strategic positioning and clear potential for further international expansion.

The delegation was honored by the presence of the Secretary General of Telecommunications & Post, Mr. Kostas Karantzalos, who was thoroughly briefed on the technological solutions presented by Greek companies and expressed the State’s ongoing support.

Greek Delegation – 15 Companies in High-Value Meetings

The national participation was organized by Enterprise Greece and Hellenic Association of Space Industry (HASI/EVIDITE), under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance, the General Secretariat of Telecommunications & Post, the si-Cluster, the Hellenic Space Center (HSC), and ESA BIC Greece.

The 15 Greek companies and organizations of the ecosystem held a series of targeted B2B meetings with international organizations, clusters, national space agencies, and leading European and American primes.

This year’s presence featured:

  • Multiple presentation areas
  • New, specialized exhibition material
  • Interactive applications and advanced software
  • Enhanced promotion of Greek upstream and downstream solutions

 

Interest from the international community was significant, with the Greek pavilion serving as a meeting point for international delegations and technology organizations, reaffirming the maturity, competitiveness, and technological capabilities of the domestic industrial base.

Greece’s participation this year highlighted:

  • The steady growth of the Greek space industry
  • The country’s upgraded role in the European and global space value chain
  • The need to continue a holistic national space strategy
  • The importance of international networking among companies, clusters, universities, and research institutions

Greece continues to strengthen its position within the global space ecosystem, investing in high-value-added technologies that enhance innovation, the economy, and national strategic autonomy.

Referring to the successful Greek participation, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, stated: “This year’s Greek presence at Space Tech Expo was not merely larger; it was qualitatively superior, more mature, and more coordinated than ever. Greece demonstrated that it now possesses a modern, outward-looking, and competitive space industry capable of standing alongside leading international players. The President of HASI/EVIDITE, Mr. Athanasios Potsis, added: “The impressive success of the Greek participation at Space Tech Expo confirms that the Greek space ecosystem is now firmly established in Europe. The domestic industry develops competitive products and solutions in space technology, collaborates with major companies, and supports important space missions, producing innovation recognized internationally. With the consistent support of the Greek government and Enterprise Greece, the Greek space industry continues to evolve and mature, creating products and new highly specialized jobs that strengthen both the economy and national security.”
