Strong Presence at EGYPES 2026

 

Athens, 16 April 2026 | As energy continues to reshape the balance of power in the Eastern Mediterranean, Enterprise Greece participated in EGYPES 2026, held in Cairo from 30 March to 1 April, transforming the Greek pavilion into a hub for new partnerships. The national delegation in Cairo served as a platform for energy diplomacy, connecting Greek businesses with major projects across the wider region.

Highlights of Greek Participation:

  • National Pavilion – Gateway to Extroversion: Enterprise Greece organised a high-level delegation of companies and organisations covering the full spectrum of the energy sector: from hydrocarbon exploration and renewables to specialised mechanical equipment and network digitalisation.
  • Technological Excellence: The exhibition highlighted innovative solutions in cutting-edge fields such as carbon capture and storage (CCS), upstream infrastructure, and energy systems management.
  • International Recognition: The Greek company Protasis stood out, receiving recognition for its work in innovation and sustainable energy. This distinction was not only a corporate success, but also a strong testament that Greece is now exporting advanced, globally competitive expertise.
  • Strategic Engagements: Representatives of Greek companies participated in high-level panels on energy security and international interconnections, strengthening regional cooperation in a complex geopolitical environment.

EGYPES 2026 in Numbers:
This year’s event reaffirmed its global significance, bringing together:
• More than 500 exhibitors and 14 national pavilions
• Approximately 50,000 visitors
• Over 350 speakers across the conference programme

Commenting on Greece’s successful participation, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, stated: «Greece’s presence at EGYPES 2026 underlines the strategic importance of Egypt and the wider region for Greek business.
