Greek cutting-edge innovation at GreenTech 2026

Greece showcases the strength of agritech

 

Athens, 19 June 2026 | Greece made an excellent impression with its participation for the third consecutive year in the international GreenTech 2026 exhibition, which took place from 9 to 11 June 2026 at the RAI Amsterdam exhibition centre in the Netherlands. The Greek participation was organised by Enterprise Greece, highlighting the capabilities and innovative solutions of Greek companies in the rapidly growing agritech sector.

GreenTech is one of the most important international events for professionals in greenhouse technology, smart agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, and plant technology. Each year, the exhibition brings together leading companies, research institutions, producers, nursery operators, and specialised consultants from around the world, presenting the most advanced technologies, products, and services shaping the future of primary production.

The main theme of this year’s edition was “PURE”, focusing on the sustainable development of agriculture and the adoption of practices that contribute to the more efficient use of natural resources. The exhibition’s thematic sections highlighted the importance of saving water and energy, leveraging advanced technologies and data, reducing the use of chemicals, and strengthening cooperation across the agri-food chain.

The Greek participation showcased the significant know-how and competitiveness of Greek companies, which presented innovative solutions and products with an international outlook. The companies participating in the exhibition were: THRACE GROUP, ORGANIC ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGIES P.C., PLASTIKA KRITIS S.A., THERMOMETAL, INA PLASTICS, AGROSTEEL L.P., and EUROTRAP LTD.

The stands of the Greek exhibitors carried the sector’s international trademark, “Greece Agricultural Equipment | From Seed to Harvest,” an initiative aimed at strengthening the recognisability of the Greek agritech ecosystem and promoting the quality, innovation, and expertise of Greek companies in international markets.

During the exhibition, the Ambassador of Greece to the Netherlands, Ms. Katerina Gkini, as well as Mr. Apostolos Michalopoulos, First Counsellor at the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs, who, together with the Enterprise Greece representative, visited the Greek stands and held meetings with the Greek exhibitors.

Discussions with representatives of the Greek companies confirmed the sector’s dynamism and the steady efforts of Greek businesses to strengthen their international presence, despite the challenges of the global economic environment. Through investments in innovation, technology, and the development of advanced solutions, Greek companies are claiming a stronger position in an intensely competitive international market, with a focus on improving productivity and the sustainable management of agricultural resources.

Enterprise Greece continues to actively support the outward orientation of Greek companies in the agritech sector, as prospects for growth and international expansion remain particularly significant. At a time when climate change and the need for more efficient food production make the adoption of new technologies essential, Greek agritech has all the necessary assets to become a dynamic pillar of the country’s outward-looking productive economy.
