Paris, 01 July 2026 | With strong attendance and more than 100 representatives from the French and European investment, business, and technology communities, the event “Greek Tech in Paris: Innovation, Investment & Cross-Border Collaboration” was held at the Embassy of Greece in Paris, in the context of the international technology exhibition VivaTech 2026. The event was co‑organized by the Economic & Commercial Affairs Office of the Embassy of Greece in France, Enterprise Greece, Endeavor Greece, La French Tech Athens, and The Hellenic Initiative, to showcase the dynamism of the Greek technology ecosystem and foster new cross‑border collaborations between Greece and France.

The event opened with remarks by the Ambassador of Greece to France, Mr. Ioannis‑Miltiadis Nikolaidis, who highlighted Greece’s dynamic trajectory in technology and entrepreneurship and emphasized the country’s steadily expanding international presence. He also underscored the importance of strengthening European synergies in research and innovation as a key prerequisite for enhancing Europe’s competitiveness and global technological leadership, noting that the close ties between Greece and France provide fertile ground for developing new joint initiatives in applied sciences and advanced technologies.

Short greetings were also delivered by Ilias Iliadis, Director of Investment Attraction for Technology & Innovation at Enterprise Greece, and Periklis Vassiliadis, Platform & Growth Director at Endeavor Greece. Their remarks highlighted the significant progress achieved in recent years by the Greek innovation ecosystem, while emphasizing the rapidly expanding opportunities for investment, business growth, and international partnerships.

As part of the event, a discussion was held featuring Guy Krief, Partner at BigPi Ventures, and Eleonore Cottarel, Managing Partner at Investing for Purpose, focusing on the prospects for scaling Greek technology companies and the opportunities for cross‑border investments between Greece and France. The conversation emphasized the high quality of Greece’s scientific and technological talent, the maturation of the domestic venture capital ecosystem, and the need to approach Europe as a unified market for innovation and investment.

Guy Krief made special reference to recent BigPi Ventures investments in internationally expanding companies with a strong Greek footprint, such as August Robotics and Numan, highlighting the growing ability of Greek investment schemes to identify and support high‑growth companies at a global level. The success of initiatives such as Panathēnea was also noted, as they substantially contribute to strengthening the international visibility and extroversion of the Greek innovation ecosystem.
