Strategic Promotion of Greece at the World’s Leading Private Label Trade Show

 

Athens, 11 December 2025 l In the strategically important U.S. market for Greek exports, Enterprise Greece organized for the second consecutive year the national participation in the International Private Label Trade Show PLMA Chicago 2025, the largest and most significant exhibition worldwide in this sector. The exhibition took place from 16 to 18 November 2025 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago.

PLMA Chicago is a landmark institution for the American continent, bringing together leading retailers seeking innovative products and new proposals to strengthen their portfolios, addressing the needs of 350 million American consumers. This year, more than 1,900 companies from 63 countries participated, confirming the international character and commercial dynamism of the event.

At the national pavilion, organized and supported by Enterprise Greece, nine outward-looking Greek food companies took part: JANNIS S.A., LATROVALIS & CO, VAMVALIS SA, KOURANTIDIS NIKOLAOS “REGINA”, PALIRIA SA, EVOIKI ZIMI SA, STYLIS OLIVE PRODUCERS COOPERATIVES, KENTRIS SA, BARBA STATHIS SA. The companies showcased a wide range of high-quality Greek food products, holding dozens of targeted B2B meetings with key representatives of the international market.

This year’s event also highlighted the presence and support of the Region of Central Greece and the Chamber of Evia, which provided substantial assistance to companies from their area. Greece’s participation was honored by the presence of the Consul of Greece in Chicago, Mr. Emmanouil Koumparakis, as well as the Head of the Greek Trade Office in Chicago, Ms. Anastasia Zografou (Counselor for Economic & Commercial Affairs B’), who engaged extensively with the Greek exhibitors.

The private label product category is one of the most dynamic sectors for Greek export activity, with industries such as canning contributing hundreds of millions of euros to exports and supporting thousands of jobs in manufacturing and the primary sector. With private label product sales in the U.S. reaching USD 250 billion in 2024, this market remains an attractive and highly promising destination for Greek export-oriented companies.
