Successful Presence of Greek Businesses at the International Exhibition SIAL Canada 2025

Athens, May 15, 2025 | The 1st national participation, organized and supported by Enterprise Greece at Canada’s largest food and beverage exhibition, SIAL Canada, from April 29 to May 1 in Toronto.

With 1,000 exhibitors from 44 countries and over 21,000 visitors from Canada, the U.S., and 70 other countries, SIAL Canada is one of the most significant trade events on the North American continent.

The Region of Central Macedonia strongly supported the 10 export-oriented companies that participated, as all are based in that region. During SIAL Canada, Greek companies held more than 500 B2B meetings with commercial visitors from Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Japan, Spain, and Italy.

The first national participation in a food and beverage trade exhibition in Canada was organized and implemented with the aim of further supporting Greek food exports amid the uncertainty caused in international trade by the U.S. tariff policy on European products.

The national pavilion was visited by the Consul General of Greece in Toronto, Mr. Ioannis Chatzantonakis, and the Head of the Economic and Commercial Affairs Office of Greece in Toronto, Mr. Dionysios Protopapas. They met with representatives of Enterprise Greece and the Region of Central Macedonia and had the opportunity to speak with the Greek exhibitors.

The companies that participated in the exhibition were: LATROVALIS & CO, ALMI S.A., GOURGOURIS OLIVE PRODUCTION S.A. – OLEA COMPANY SA, KTIMA CHEIMONIDI – CHRYSOULA CHEIMONIDOU, DIMITRA PARPARAS, GRISTIREN LIMITED, STAMATIS PROIKAS S.A., ALEXANDER S.A., E. KALAMIDA & CO. G.P., ARVANITIS S.A.
