Athens to Host the Annual Conference of the Trade Promotion Europe (TPE) Network – Enterprise Greece assumes the Presidency of TPE for a Two-Year Term

Athens, 11 June 2025 | Enterprise Greece will host the Annual Conference of the Trade Promotion Europe (TPE) network in Athens on 16 June 2025, marking the first time the event will be held in Greece. Concurrently, Enterprise Greece assumes the Presidency of TPE for the 2025–2026 term.

TPE is the only pan-European network that brings together 32 public trade promotion organizations from 22 EU Member States, representing over 1,250,000 exporting companies, primarily small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

This year’s conference will take place under the theme: “Export Management in Times of Uncertainty: Strengthening Europe’s Role.”

The conference will explore the challenges facing international trade today and the strategic role of the European Union in shaping a more resilient, sustainable, and competitive business environment.

The event will bring together a wide range of stakeholders, including:

  • Representatives from the European Commission and other EU institutions
  • National and regional export promotion agencies from across Europe
  • Export-oriented SMEs
  • International and Greek trade organizations
  • Institutional and professional bodies

Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO of Enterprise Greece, stated: “It is a great honor for Enterprise Greece to host this year’s Trade Promotion Europe conference. Our assumption of the TPE presidency reflects our long-standing commitment to active participation in international organizations and to shaping Europe’s forward-looking trade strategies. It is both a recognition of Greece’s growing role in the European trade ecosystem and a testament to the expertise and consistency of Enterprise Greece. It also validates the country’s national strategy for extroversion, placing Greek businesses at the heart of European export policy. The presence of so many leading organizations in Athens underscores Greece’s rising importance on the European export map. Extroversion is not just a strategic objective—it is a cornerstone of Europe’s sustainable economic future.”
