Transport Logistic 2025 in Munich

Greece at the center of global logistics Strong presence at Transport Logistic 2025 in Munich

Tuesday, May 27, 2025, | The German Hellenic Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Enterprise Greece are co-organizing a group pavilion at Transport Logistic 2025, the leading global trade fair for logistics and transportation. The event will take place at Messe München in Munich from June 2 to 5.

This year’s pavilion — the fourth in a row featuring Greek exhibitors — will host 10 dynamic companies representing Greece’s rapidly growing logistics sector. This initiative is part of the broader strategy of the German Hellenic Chamber and Enterprise Greece to strengthen the international outreach and global presence of Greek businesses.

The companies participating in this year’s pavilion include Thessaloniki Port Authority, Goldair Cargo, Thriasio Freight Center, Elikon Logistics, Navicon, Delopoulos S.A., O.Mind Creatives, People Technology Solutions, Golden Cargo, and the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The logistics sector is considered one of the key pillars of the Greek economy, contributing approximately 10% to the national GDP. It ranks second only to tourism in terms of importance for the country’s development. Greece has made significant strides in this sector, rising to 19th place in the Global Logistics Performance Index (LPI), while investing in strategic logistics infrastructure and facilities, positioning the country as the largest gateway to Southeastern Europe.

Transport Logistic 2025 is a premier international event in the fields of logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management, attracting thousands of professionals and companies from around the world. The participation of Greek companies offers unique opportunities for networking, collaboration, and access to new markets.

Dr. Ilja Nothnagel, General Manager and Board Member of the German Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, stated on organizing the fourth group pavilion at Transport Logistic 2025: “The Chamber continues to strategically support Greek internationalization efforts, targeting Germany — Europe’s largest economy. Strengthening Greek exports improves the country’s trade balance, offers services to the German market that can support its outward-looking efforts, broadens the horizon of bilateral synergies, and ensures reciprocal benefits. In a country like Greece, which is constantly modernizing its logistics infrastructure and enjoys a privileged geographical position for international trade, deepening Greek German trade and investment relations can only lead to positive results. For this reason, the German Hellenic Chamber focuses on such initiatives, developing synergies with local stakeholders such as Enterprise Greece, with which we are committed to exploring new areas of international cooperation.”

Referring to Greece’s presence at Transport Logistic, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, CEO of Enterprise Greece, stated:

“Enterprise Greece’s participation at Transport Logistic 2025 in Munich, with the organization of a national pavilion and a business-investment event for the logistics sector, marks the growing international momentum of Greece’s supply chain ecosystem. In collaboration with leading institutional partners — such as the German Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, the Bavarian Cluster Mobility & Logistics, the Economic and Commercial Affairs Office of our Consulate in Munich, the Munich and Upper Bavaria Chamber of Commerce, and the Hellenic Logistics Company — we are highlighting strategic opportunities for investment, technological synergy, and value-chain integration. Greece is evolving into a hub of transit and added value, combining infrastructure, ports, and highly skilled human capital. The presence of the Secretary General for Transport, Ms. Despina Paliarouta, as a keynote speaker reinforces the institutional and strategic nature of the Greek participation, reflecting the national vision for the sustainable development of the sector. Enterprise Greece continues to actively support the internationalization and innovation of Greek enterprises in logistics, strengthening bilateral cooperation channels with the robust German market and its leading project development and management representatives.”

Finally, Secretary General for Transport, Ms. Despina Paliarouta, stated:

“The transport and logistics sectors are strategic pillars for enhancing the extroversion and competitiveness of the Greek economy. With its geostrategic position, growing ports, modern road networks, railway upgrades, and targeted investments in infrastructure and digital systems, Greece is transforming into a high value-added logistics hub. Strengthening the sector serves as a catalyst in establishing the country as a major investment destination in Southeastern Europe. That is the direction in which we are working and shaping our policies.”
