INMEX SMM 2025
Dynamic presence of Greece at one of the largest exhibitions for maritime and industrial equipment

Athens, September 19, 2025 | For the second consecutive time, Enterprise Greece organized the national pavilion at the international exhibition INMEX SMM 2025, which took place from September 10 to 12, 2025, in Mumbai, India.

INMEX SMM is one of the world’s most important exhibitions for maritime and industrial equipment, bringing together companies and organizations from more than 20 countries. This year, the exhibition featured 250 exhibitors and over 9,000 representatives from organizations and businesses, underscoring its international scope. Among the participants were three national pavilions: Germany, showcasing leading companies in maritime technology; the Netherlands, participating for the first time with companies specializing in sustainable shipping, port infrastructure, and innovation; and Greece, represented by outward-looking enterprises from the country’s strategic maritime sector.

The Greek participation, featuring companies active in industrial equipment, maritime equipment, and automation, strategically reinforced Greece’s position on the global maritime and industrial map. It is worth noting that HEMEXPO, through its member companies, among others, played a decisive role in the organization and promotion of the national pavilion. Meanwhile, parallel events and conferences held during the exhibition further enhanced networking opportunities and knowledge exchange.

India represents a strategic market for the Greek maritime industry, as it possesses one of the largest commercial fleets worldwide and systematically invests in port and shipbuilding infrastructure. The growing demand in the Indian market for maritime equipment, fleet management technologies, and logistics services creates new opportunities for cooperation with Greek companies.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by Shri Nitesh Rane (Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Fisheries & Ports Development, Government of Maharashtra), who also visited the Greek pavilion.

Referring to the successful Greek participation for the second consecutive time, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, stated:
“India is a strategic partner for the Greek maritime and industrial community, with significant potential for cooperation in key sectors. Our participation in INMEX SMM 2025 is part of Enterprise Greece’s broader strategy to strengthen the international presence of Greek enterprises and to tap into new dynamic markets. The green transition and the development of maritime transport in India create additional opportunities, where Greece can contribute expertise and experience.”
