SIAL Paris 2014

One of the largest food exhibitions in the world, the International Food and Drink Exhibition SIAL in Paris, has come to an end. More than 150,000 visitors attended the exhibition that took place October 19-23, 2014.
Greece’s national participation, under the auspices of Enterprise Greece, made a great impression on participants. More than 100 Greek companies exhibited their products and come in contact with buyers from all over the world. Some of these companies were awarded for their innovative products, while visitors showed great interest in Greek food and beverages.
This year the Enterprise Greece B2B Center resulted in a significant increase in B2B meetings for the Greek exhibitors.
The national pavilion also showcasedtwo restaurants, in which internationally renowned chefs prepared Greek specialties, using ingredients offered by the Greek exhibitors. In the main restaurant, which operated in collaboration with Aldemar Hotels, chef Agalou gave the visitors the chance to try out new and traditional recipes made with Greek ingredients, while in the second restaurant chef Vasalos cooked with fish and seafood, highlighting their unique flavors.
Enterprise Greece’s successful presence in leading exhibitions such as SIAL Paris will continue in 2015 with the participation in the largest exhibitions in the world. Enterprise Greece is currently preparing for the national participation in exhibitions such as Gulfood, Anuga, Fancy Food, Prowein, FruitLogistica, and SIAL China.
