ASIA PACIFIC MARITIME 2024: Dynamic Greek presence at the international shipbuilding exhibition and industrial marine equipment

Athens, 28 March 2024 | The largest national participation, with 15 Greek companies with a dynamic presence in the shipping sector, was organized by Enterprise Greece at the 18th International Maritime Exhibition ASIA PACIFIC MARITIME 2024, which was held in six exhibition halls in Marina Bay Sands under the theme “Future of Vessels Solutions for Tomorrow”, from 13 to 15 March 2024.
This is one of the largest exhibitions in the field of international shipbuilding and industrial marine equipment held in Asia, which this year gathered 17 national participations in 930 pavilions and more than 15,000 brands, offering participants significant opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange and shaping the landscape of shipbuilding and maritime technology, work vessels, offshore and ports.
The events and network during ASIA PACIFIC MARITIME 2024 focused on the Sustainability, Innovation and Digitalization of the shipping industry, emphasizing on the need to use green solutions and encourage the circular economy, with the goal of decarbonizing shipping by 2050 and companies in the sector focusing on alternative fuels. To this end, new products were presented that allow more precise control for fuel economy and emission reduction, respecting the requirements of sustainability and the green environment.
The companies that participated in the Greek pavilion organized by Enterprise Greece, had the opportunity to explore the possibilities offered by the Southeast Asian market, to establish partnerships with new customers and to get in touch with important organizations from the participating national delegations of China, Korea, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Germany, Singapore, Taiwan Province of China etc. Also, HEMEXPO and its member companies, under the slogan “Smart Ship Solutions- Greek marine equipment” presented their innovative products and services.
The Ambassador of Greece in Singapore, Mr. George Dogoritis, the Head of the Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs, Counsellor of the Economic and Financial Affairs Department, Mr. Emmanuel Markianos, and the Maritime Attaché, Lieutenant Commander of the Hellenic Coast Guard, Andreas Lykoudis, visited the Greek kiosks and talked with Greek companies in the sector about ways to boost their activity in the Singapore market and generally in the major markets of SE Asia.
The CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, referring to the successful Greek presence, stated: ” The national participation is part of Enterprise Greece’s integrated strategic planning which, in cooperation with the competent bodies, aims to promote the extroversion of Greek companies in the sector, which has developed great momentum in recent years. This is proven by this year’s impressive presence of Greek companies, which was worthy of countries with large production of marine equipment. Enterprise Greece will continue in the future the cooperation with the industry and its associations to attract investments and further promote and promote the innovative products and services of the industrial marine equipment industry. »
