Enterprise Greece and Enterprise Europe Network Hellas signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

Athens, 22 December 2023 | A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Thursday, December 21, 2023, by Enterprise Greece and Enterprise Europe Network Hellas, the Greek consortium of the Enterprise Europe Network.
Enterprise Greece was represented by the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos and Enterprise Europe Network Hellas, the Director of PRAXI Network, which is also the coordinator of the Consortium, Dr. Konstantinos Vavekis.
The objectives of the Memorandum are:
1. The enhancement of extrovert business activity and the promotion of Greek exporting SMEs, their products and services.
2. The promotion of the country and the investment opportunities and opportunities it offers in important capital export markets.
3. The strengthening of the country’s extroversion through the mobilization, methodical guidance and internationalization of exporters.
The two organizations agreed to exploit synergies and any complementarity of their actions and networks to offer high-value services to Greek SMEs. The partnership of Enterprise Greece, the competent national body, under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for attracting investments and promoting exports, with Enterprise Europe Network Hellas, member of the European Enterprise Europe Network, It is strategically important.
The Enterprise Europe Network is an institution of the European Commission and the Executive Agency of the European Innovation Council and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EISMEA) and is the largest business support network in the world. To date, it has helped 4.2 million businesses innovate and grow internationally, while 475,000 SMEs have trusted its personalized consulting services.
Within the framework of this cooperation, information actions, information provision to Greek exporting companies, education and training actions, support and service actions as well as promotion and networking of businesses will be launched.
It is noted that Enterprise Europe Network Hellas was formed in 2008 with PRAXI Network and the National Documentation and Electronic Content Centre (EKT) as coordinators and currently consists of 16 organisations including industrial associations, research, technological and banking institutions, as well as chambers of commerce and industry.
Enterprise Greece and Enterprise Europe Network Hellas have already started collaborating in the framework of two events. On November 29, 2023, Enterprise Greece participated in the Event celebrating 30 years of the Single Market and 15 years of the Enterprise Europe Network, where closer cooperation was announced with the upcoming signing of the Memorandum of Understanding. At the international exhibition Anuga 2023, the two organizations successfully co-organized fifty B2B meetings.
Welcoming the signing of the MoU with Enterprise Europe Network Hellas, Enterprise Greece CEO Marinos Giannopoulos stated: “As Enterprise Greece and as a member of the Board of Directors of Trade Promotion Europe, we want closer cooperation with Enterprise Europe Network Hellas for the benefit of both Greek and European SMEs, leveraging our collective know-how and networks to strengthen extrovert and innovative businesses and promote economic and sustainable growth.”
