Enterprise Greece στο Future Hospitality Summit (FHS)

Athens, October 10, 2024 – Enterprise Greece participated for the first time in the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) 2024, in Dubai, from September 30rd to October 2nd, 2024, with the main objective of promoting Greece as a top destination for investments in the hospitality and tourism sector.

Through its presence at the conference, Enterprise Greece sought to strengthen international partnerships and attract investors interested in developing business activities in Greece, especially in the hotel industry and tourism product sectors.

Enterprise Greece had a special area for the promotion of Greece in a prominent position in the exhibition area of the conference, where there was the opportunity to hold meetings, but also to present the opportunities offered by the Greek market for the development of new projects and the exploitation of the potential of the industry. In this context, a series of face-to-face meetings were held with companies mainly from the United Arab Emirates, America, Germany, Spain, and France.

This year the conference brought together more than 1,600 participants, from 60 countries, and presented many exciting new initiatives and partnerships. The Branded Residences Forum, a one-day exclusive event by Accor One Living in partnership with FHS World, focused on the thriving branded housing sector, which is experiencing a period of unprecedented growth worldwide. According to organizers’ data, it has grown more than 160% over the past decade with around 1,300 branded residential projects worldwide. This sector is expected to experience great growth in Greece in the coming years, due to the increased demand for luxury residences that combine high- quality services and amenities with management by internationally recognized hotel brands.

Also, for the first time, FHS World hosted the semi-finals of UN Tourism’s startup Women in Tech competition, showcasing innovative solutions from women-led tech startups. The initiative #FHSWomenPower prompted the participation of more than 550 women from the hospitality business world.

The CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, participated in a panel entitled: “European Hospitality Revival: Creating Investment Opportunities in Mature Markets”, where investment trends in the hospitality industry were discussed, especially in terms of luxury, medium and budget scale hotels in both cities and island destinations, as well as trends for the future. Dr. Marinos Yannopoulos also referred to the factors that drive investor interest in Greece and what new opportunities are emerging for investors in the hospitality sector in the country while referring to the palette of investment incentives currently available.
