Enterprise Greece for a second year at the American Film Market (AFM)
Where the heart of the global audiovisual industry beats
Athens, 28 November 2024 | For the second consecutive year, Enterprise Greece organized the National Pavilion at the American Film Market (AFM) exhibition held from 5 to 10 November 2024 in Las Vegas, confirming its commitment to attracting audiovisual productions to Greece.
AFM is a leading meeting point for representatives of the audiovisual industry, bringing together production companies, producers, buyers, financiers/investors, national film juries, and professionals from all sectors of the independent film industry.
This year’s 45th edition, which was held for the first time in Las Vegas, represented 87 countries and 286 companies, according to data from the Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA). The United States had the highest participation (113), followed by the United Kingdom (23), France (19), Romania (17), Italy (16), Thailand (16) and China (10).
As part of the exhibition, meetings were held with representatives of the largest production companies in Los Angeles and large investment funds. The Greek delegation welcomed at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel, representatives from the largest studios of the American market and streaming platforms worldwide, who informed them about the significant investment incentives offered by our country, thanks to the new favorable legal framework, but also the creation of “Creative Greece”, the single body created by the merger of the Greek Film Centre (GFC) and the National Audiovisual Centre and Communication (EKOME).
Enterprise Greece, with the support of the Greek Consulate of Greece in Los Angeles, strengthened, with its presence at the exhibition and its high-level contacts, Greece’s position as an attractive investment destination in the growing audiovisual industry.
