Enterprise Greece Reelected in ANIMA Investment Network

The Enterprise Greece agency has been re-elected to the vice-presidency of the ANIMA Investment Network for another two-year term (2019-2021), a distinction that fulfills its ongoing efforts to promote the outward orientation of the Greek economy and promote business ties in the Mediterranean region.

The ANIMA Investment Network is a cross-border association for economic cooperation and development in the Mediterranean, comprising national and regional investment promotion agencies, international organizations, business federations, innovation clusters, financial investors and research institutes from the region. The selection of Enterprise Greece to the vice presidency took place during the ANIMA general assembly on June 26, 2018 in Tunis, Tunisia.

The development and maintenance of a range of international partners is central to the work of Enterprise Greece, which promotes Greece as an attractive investment destination and exporter of high-quality products and services. The agency’s active participation in the ANIMA Investment Network for the past ten years, and in particular serving repeatedly as vice-president on the board of directors, has demonstrated its willingness to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Mediterranean business climate and to achieving shared and sustainable economic growth in the region.

Elias Athanasiou, CEO of Enterprise Greece, said: “Enterprise Greece attaches particular importance to its re-election to the vice-presidency of the ANIMA Investment Network for another two-year term (2019-2021). The election confirms the trust of the Network members and recognizes our contribution so far. We believe that this particular cooperation will contribute to the consolidation of our country’s role as an important strategic partner in the wider region, while the tools provided by the ANIMA Network help us highlight the competitive advantages of our country.”
