Enterprise Greece supports the extroversion of the innovation & technology sector

Athens, July 23rd, 2024 | In June 2024, Enterprise Greece included in its programme, for the first time, new actions for the promotion of Greek startups. These initiatives started with participating in the WE MAKE FUTURE Festival in Bologna, Italy, and then in the Collision Tech Conference in Toronto, Canada.
WE MAKE FUTURE Festival, Bologna, June 13th-15th, 2024
The Greek delegation’s participation in the WE MAKE FUTURE Festival 2024, an international exhibition dedicated to technology, innovation and the world of startups, was a great success. The Festival, held in Bologna in June 13th-15th, 2024, attracted 700 exhibitors, 70,000 visitors, more than 1,000 speakers and 3,000 startups and investors from over 90 countries.
Operations were coordinated by the Hellenic-Italian Chamber of Thessaloniki, in cooperation with Enterprise Greece and the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI). Four Greek startups participated in the Greek stand, supported by Enterprise Greece: IRIDA AI, ComeTogether, Upiria and Kleesto. These startups, which qualified following a pitching event, presented their ideas, products and services, taking part in a pitch deck and B2B meetings.
Collision Tech Conference 2024, Toronto, June 17th-20th, 2024
For the first time, Greece participated with a national stand in the International Technology Exhibition Collision Tech Conference 2024 in Toronto, Canada, supported by the Region of Attica, the Regional Development Fund of Attica, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EVEA) and Enterprise Greece. The event attracted more than 40,000 participants from 140 countries, over 1,000 investors and 2,000 startups, as well as 1,400 journalists.
Nine start-ups participated in the Greek delegation, in addition to the Region of Attica, the Athens Startup Business Incubator (THEA), the Regional Development Fund of Attica and Enterprise Greece: Quantum Neural Technologies, Grapevine, Keyvoto, Vivestia, Traqbeat Technologies, Dataphoria, Wastecloud, Kleesto and Nature4Nature Technologies.
The event that took place on Tuesday, June 18th, “Get-together with the Greek startups in the Collision Conference”, and was co-organized by Enterprise Greece, EVEA, The Hellenic Initiative Canada and the Hellenic-Canadian Board of Trade, was attended by the Consul General of Greece in Toronto, Mr. Panayotis Antonatos, and Mr. Dionysios Protopapas, Senior Trade Commissioner to the Consulate General of Greece in Toronto. In addition, on June 20th, the Greek delegation visited the MaRS Institute, the largest urban innovation hub in the world.
Thriving Global 2024 Programme
Enterprise Greece’s actions continued in July 2024 with the successful “Thriving Global” Extroversion and Business Acceleration Programme, which is organised for the fourth consecutive year in cooperation with USMAC (US Market Access Centre). Phase A’ of the fourth cycle took place with the Thriving Bootcamp in Athens, with the participation of Greek companies such as BuildingHow, AthletesWeR, Palowise, Mojo Financial Technologies, The Sarm Project, TransiTool, Travelr and Efficious.
Since 2020, when this action was launched, Enterprise Greece has supported a total of over 50 fast-growing Greek companies, providing knowledge and opportunities for direct contact with potential customers, strategic partners and investors in the US market, with a special emphasis on Silicon Valley.
