EquipHotel 2018 International Expo

Athens, 22 November 2018| Greek hotel and catering equipment makers staged a strong presence at EQUIPHOTEL 2018, one of Europe’s leading trade fairs for the hospitality industry, reporting strong interest from international buyers in Greek products.

The biannual exhibition, which took place in Paris from 11 to 15 November 2018, is focused on products, services and technologies for the hospitality industry. The exhibition space is divided into five sections covering 30 or more business sectors such as catering, design, well-being, technologies, services, etc.

The exhibition, according to its organizers, has traditionally attracted about 105,000 business visitors, mainly from the hotel (33%) and restaurant (29%) industries. This year’s expo hosted more than 1,440 exhibitors.

Enterprise Greece supported the participation of four companies from different sectors, while nine other companies participated in the event with the financial support of the “Business Abroad” program of the Ministry of Economy and Development or other resources.

The Greek businessmen taking part expressed their overall support in a) their participation at the exhibition, b) the well-organized Greek presence at the fair, arranged by Enterprise Greece, and c) the successful promotion of the sector and the country with the quality design and appearance of the Greek kiosks present.

Visitor numbers at the expo were significantly higher than at the 2016 event and, according to Greek exhibitors, there was strong buyer interest. According to the Greek participants, the contacts made during the four days of the exhibition successfully targeted prospective customers, with buyers coming both from France and other countries.
