Athens, June 4, 2024 | Greek food products stood out at The Saudi Food Show 2024, the largest food exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Held for the second year at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center, the event attracted over 30,000 attendees.

Enterprise Greece organized the national stand and, within the framework of the exhibition, also organized a tasting area to promote Greek gastronomy, visits to supermarket chains, and business meetings (B2B) with the country’s largest retailers. The goal was to attract visitors and familiarize them with Greek products.

The companies hosted at the national stand and presenting high-nutritional-value Greek food to thousands of trade visitors were ARISTON HELLAS, ELVAK S.A., KOUKAKIS FARM SA, KOURANTIDIS NIKOLAOS-“REGINA”, LATROVALIS & CO, MEVGAL SA, SELECT BAKERY, STAND BY BELLOS, and THEONI S.A.

A significant distinction was awarded to MEVGAL SA for the best snack among all exhibitors. Mr. Giorgos Vanidis, Export Manager of MEVGAL SA, said, “We consider our participation in the Saudi Food Show very successful. The Saudi Arabian market is rapidly growing and offers opportunities for quality products such as those offered by our company and many other Greek companies. The strategic support of the state to Greek companies through Enterprise Greece at this exhibition is in the right direction for the further development of Greek exports in the wider Middle East region.”

Referring to the successful Greek presence at The Saudi Food Show 2024, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, stated, “The Saudi Arabian market is of strategic importance for Greece, which is why Enterprise Greece, carefully following developments in that country, participates and actively supports Greek businesses that wish to develop there. In this direction, our advantage is the excellent relations between the two countries at all levels, which facilitates the further penetration of companies into more sectors of economic activity in Saudi Arabia.”

The national participation was honored by the presence of the Ambassador of Greece to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Alexis Konstantopoulos, who stated, “I was happy to visit the Greek stand at the largest food exhibition in Saudi Arabia and saw firsthand the high quality of Greek products and the extroversion of participating companies. Saudi Arabia is developing rapidly, thanks to the steady implementation of the ‘Vision 2030 economic transformation program, creating excellent conditions for the promotion of Greek exports. Greek products are highly valued in the Saudi Arabian market, creating significant opportunities for Greek companies. We invite all Greek companies to explore the possibilities offered by the Saudi Arabian market. The significant tourist flows to Greece strengthen the image of our country and, by extension, of its products in Saudi Arabia.”
