Germany Business & Investment Summit

Athens, 14 December 2018| Enterprise Greece participated in the Southeast Europe-Germany Business & Investment Summit, which was organized by The Economist in Berlin to boost business relations between Greece and Germany.

The Summit focused on the promotion of Greece as an investment destination, with the presentation of financial data and investment opportunities. The Summit drew leaders from the political, banking and business world of Greece and Germany, among them the Minister of Environment and Energy, George Stathakis, Oliver Wittke, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, Yannis Stournaras, Governor of the Bank of Greece, Socrates Lazaridis, CEO of Athens Exchange Group, George Tziallas, Secretary General of Tourism Policy and Development of the Ministry of Tourism, as well as senior executives of the four systemic banks in Greece.

Margarita Antoniou, member of Enterprise Greece’s Board of Directors, represented the agency at the Summit. Ms. Antoniou talked about the improved economic situation in Greece and the number of investment opportunities that exist and are being promoted through our agency. She also highlighted the reasons why Greece is an attractive investment destination.

On the sidelines of the Summit, meetings were held with German investors and discussions with people from the financial and business world of Germany.
