Greece at the International Space Technology Exhibition SPACE TECH EXPO

Athens, 02 December 2024 | The meeting point of the space industry was once again the SPACE TECH EXPO 2024, which was organized in Bremen from 19 to 21 November 2024. The major international exhibition attracted 700 companies, more than 8000 visitors, and executives of the international space industry and more than 20,000 business meetings were organized during the event.

At the Greek pavilion, entitled “Space technology made in GREECE”, organized by the Hellenic Investment and Foreign Trade Corporation (Enterprise Greece) in collaboration with the Hellenic Association of Space Technology & Applications Industries (HSIDITE), the Greek ecosystem was presented. Representatives of the Greek companies participated in many business meetings, in a specially designed area, from which they expect to get new contract deals. Greek companies, aiming at the global market, jointly with Enterprise Greece and EVIDITE, highlight Greek technology and innovation as a brand name that guarantees quality, safety, speed, and respect for People and the Environment. The national participation followed the signing of the contracts for the “National Microbrewery Program” between the associations, companies the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Ministry of Digital Governance.

The Secretary General of Telecommunications and Post, Dr. Konstantinos Karantzalos, who participated in the proceedings of the International Space Tech Expo, stated: “The extensive presence of the Hellenic Space Industry at the Space Tech Expo this year in Bremen highlighted the potential for domestic development of space technology and applications. The exhibition gathered more than 700 exhibitors from all over the world, along with the presentation of innovative cutting-edge space technologies made in Greece had a special place”.

The CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, stated: “The National Participation in SPACE TECH EXPO is part of Enterprise Greece’s strategic plan to promote the extroversion of Greek companies in the space industry and their promotion internationally. The sector is highly mobile and is distinguished by the production of innovative and high-quality products. Enterprise Greece, in collaboration with EVIDITE and the Ministry of Digital Governance, is implementing a strategic plan for the promotion of Greek Innovation and Technology in the Space Sector at an International Level, aiming at developing partnerships to strengthen the Greek economy”.

The team embraced the Greek Mission not only of the member companies but also all Greek companies and individual Greek delegates of Space Tech Expo 24, showing the position of the Hellenic Space Industry on the world stage with innovative products. Greece has developed a remarkable ecosystem in the space sector, capable of supporting the development and commercialization of cutting-edge technologies.”
