Greece featured country at U.S. Summer Fancy Food Show 2018 – Enterprise Greece organizing national delegation

As part of its export promotion efforts in the American market, Enterprise Greece will organize — for the 30th consecutive year — the official national participation at the Summer Fancy Food Show taking place in New York in June 2018 where Greece will be the featured country.
The trade fair is one of the largest food and beverage exhibitions in North America. The Greek delegation will participate with the message: “Invest in Taste”, declaring to the professional visitors taking part that whoever selects Greek products is making an investment in taste, quality and wellbeing. The message also serves as an open invitation to foreign investors to invest in Greece’s food sector.
The agency is working with the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce in the context of the fair to promote high valued-added and high quality Greek food products. This month Enterprise Greece supported the 2nd Export USA Forum – organized by the Hellenic-American Chamber and Trade USA on Dec. 18 at the Grande Bretagne hotel in Athens – to brief export oriented Greek businesses about penetrating the complex U.S. food market.
In remarks to the Forum, Enterprise Greece CEO Elias Athanasiou highlighted the strategic cooperation with the Hellenic-American Chamber, as well as the national distinction being awarded Greece at the upcoming Summer Fancy Food Show. Such activities are part of a broader action plan being implemented by the agency to promote Greek exports and attract foreign investment, Mr. Athanasiou said.
The Summer Fancy Food Show is organized by the 3,000 member Specialty Food Association in the U.S. Next summer’s exhibition is expected to draw leading representatives from food retailers and  wholesalers, the catering industry, distributors, and the foodservice sector among others. Business meetings held during the exhibition will give Greek companies opportunities to explore commercial agreements in the American F&B industry.
