Greece participates at GULFOOD 2023, the largest International Food Exhibition in the Middle East

Athens, 6 March, 2023 | Enterprise Greece organized the successful Greek participation at 27th Gulfood 2023 International Food Show (20-24 February, 2023). Sixty-one (61) exporters participated – almost double the 2022 participation.
Participating at the largest International Food Exhibition in the Middle East, held at the World Trade Center in Dubai, Greek exporters achieved more than 15.000 business contacts, presenting the excellent quality of Greek products to more than 100,000 visitors and having the opportunity to expand their export activity to a market of 500 million consumers.
The Regions of Epirus and Central Greece and the Chamber of Evia participated in the national pavilion and supported companies originating from their region.
Teams from EU Projects for the Promotion of Greek food products also participated: “Chick Leaders- Pindos Agricultural Poultry Cooperative”, Meet the EU Lamb”” (an initiative of the National Interprofessional Meat Organization), ‘EU BEE Honey”, ‘EUnique’ and ‘EU Organic Deal’.
The successful organization and high attendance of the exhibition confirms the value for Greek businesses and trade visitors to be present physically at large trade fairs, paving the way for further development for the exports of Greek food products, following the impressive +20% of food and beverage exports accomplished in 2022, which amounted to €7.9 billion.
The national participation was honoured with the presence of the Greek Ambassador, Mr Antonios Alexandridis, the Consul General, Mr Vasileios Theocharidis and the Executive Director of Enterprise Greece, Ms Betty Alexandropoulou who had the opportunity to meet in person all the Greek exhibitors. All officers of the Commercial Section of the Greek Embassy also visited the Greek Pavillion.
