Greece’s dynamic presence showcased at IoT Solutions World Congress 2022

Athens, 20 May 2022 | Greece made a strong showing at the international technology exhibition IoT Solutions World Congress 2022, at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via Venue exhibition center, from 10 to 12 May 2022.

Enterprise Greece, in collaboration with HETiA (Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association), organized the fifth national participation in the IoT Solutions World Congress, showcasing 7 Greek companies in a prominent national pavilion, which attracted many visitors.

IoT Solutions World Congress 2022 is the meeting point for key players, who contribute to the transformation of industries. The exhibition is an important marketplace for tech solutions for security, connectivity, business optimization and customer-focused intelligence that find application in a range of sectors from interconnected transport and energy, to health, manufacturing, buildings and infrastructure.

Executive Director and Member of the Board of Enterprise Greece, Betty Alexandropoulou, stated: “This year’s participation in IoT Solutions World Congress 2022 is another action of Enterprise Greece that highlights and promotes the dynamic tech sector in Greece. The extroversion, the penetration of new global markets and the strengthening of Greek tech companies with networking opportunities, bootcamps and pitching events that we organize, among others, function as a catalyst in the industry’s evolution.”

Emmanuel Zervakis, Chairman of HETiA, stressed: “The IoT Solutions World Congress is one of the world’s top technology exhibitions for the Internet of Things and at the same time, a meeting point of key players in technological developments. HETiA, in order to support its members through networking and extroversion actions, has maintained a constant presence in the exhibition for the last five years with the support of Enterprise Greece, aiming to highlight the technological value propositions produced in Greece. This year, the Greek delegation occupied an exceptional stand, showcasing a range of technologies and industrial applications that support the green and digital transition.”

The Secretary General of the Hellenic-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Rodanthi Tzortzaki, praised the excellent organization and services provided at the Greek pavilion. Ms. Tzortzaki also referred to the increased participation of Greek enterprises in conferences held recently in Spain: “It is a fact that this year, the Greek participation in international conferences in Barcelona has increased, which makes us very happy because our Spanish colleagues realize that Greece shows greater extroversion even in less familiar markets, such as the Spanish market. We consider that the circumstances favor increased business interest between the two countries and for this reason we, as professionals who operate outside of Greece, value greatly the work of Enterprise Greece.”
