Greece’s first participation in the International Exhibition “Logitrans 2024”

Athens, 03 December 2024 | Enterprise Greece’s organization of the Greek pavilion in our country’s first participation in the International Logistics & International Transport Exhibition “Logitrans”, which was held from 20 to 22 November 2024 in Istanbul, is considered as highly successful.

Logitrans is the most dynamic platform for developing business links in the intercontinental supply chain, between Europe and Asia and regionally, with more than 14,000 visitors from 74 countries attending this year’s event.

In addition to the Greek stand, countries such as Germany, Spain, Russia, and Belarus were represented at the exhibition with national pavilions, while, in total, 203 companies participated in the 17th Logitrans, from 18 countries, such as France, United Kingdom, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Serbia, China, Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates.

In the context of enhancing the extroversion of the logistics sector, Enterprise Greece organized for the first time a National Pavilion for the promotion of the sector with the support of the Hellenic Logistics Company (EEL) under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two entities in January 2024. At the same time, it has created a national brand for the sector (Greek Logistics| Navigating Borders- Connecting Markets) that will henceforth mark the Greek kiosks.

Mr. Christos Stampoulopoulos, Consultant of Economic and Financial Services A’, Office of Economic and Financial Services in Istanbul, visited the exhibition and made a detailed presentation of the market and the potential of Greek companies to reach agreements.

On the occasion of our country’s participation in the exhibition for the first time, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, stated: “The organization, for the first time, of the National Pavilion of Greece at the International Exhibition “Logitrans”, with the cooperation of the Hellenic Logistics Company (EEL) and following initiatives such as this year’s business mission to Istanbul, is practical proof of Enterprise Greece’s contribution to enhancing its extroversion Industry. Admittedly, Greek companies, which are active in the supply chain, are characterized by great experience and dynamics. At the same time, actions such as this highlight the country’s potential to establish itself as an international supply chain hub, while the steps already taken in this direction are highlighted.”

On his part, the Vice President of Operations of the Hellenic Logistics Company, Mr. Konstantinos Papageorgiou stated: “The first joint action Enterprise Greece and EEL was crowned with absolute success. Hundreds of people from all over the world, foreseeing the prospects presented, but also the key character of the country, visited the National Pavilion and showed great interest in cooperation. In a more globalized market, Greek companies should focus on new markets and lucrative partnerships and meet markets that, until now, they did not have access to and provide their customers with high-quality service. Through partnerships, a resilient, yet flexible supply chain can be built.”
