Greek gaming participates in gamescom 2023, the world’s largest gaming exhibition

Athens, 5 September 2023 | Greek game developers returned to the world’s largest video game trade fair “Gamescom International Trade Fair”, for the second year running, underscoring the growing presence of Greek companies in one of the world’s fastest growing creative industries.
Eight Greek game developers took part in gamescom 2023 in Cologne, Germany, the world’s largest event for computer and video games. The Greek national delegation, organized by the Game Developers Association of Greece, in partnership with Enterprise Greece and Corallia’s gi-Cluster, follows the country’s ver participation at the event in 2022.
During the fair, held August 23-27, a workshop in the exhibition’s business area was arranged in partnership with the gi-Cluster, aimed at game publishers, investors, and developers. The workshop was funded by the European Union’s Operational Programme for Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation 2014-2020 and was designed to increase contacts and partnerships between the Greek and global gaming industries.
Participation in the three-day trade fair is an important step in the future development of the gaming sector, and by extension the Greek innovation industry. The fair is a key event for developing strategic partnerships internationally, and increasing access to knowledge, talent and capital. Overall, the Greek companies conducted more than 100 business meetings during the exhibition.
The eight Greek video game firms participating were: Arcweave, beyondthosehills, Cymban, eNVy softworks, Eteros Studios, Funigami, Terahard, and Traptics.
