Greek Products in Brazil

Athens, 24 April 2019 | Greek businesses turned out in large numbers to participate in more than 150 B2B meetings this week with Brazilian companies, organized by Enterprise Greece during the visit of an official trade mission from Brazil.

The Brazilian delegation included members from the Federation of Commerce and the Federation of Goods, Services, and Tourism of the State of Santa Catarina. Representatives of the nine Brazilian companies that participated in the mission met with more than 30 Greek companies from the food & beverage and tourism sectors, laying a foundation for future commercial agreements.

The event, which took place in Athens 22 April, was organized with the assistance of the Greek Economic and Commercial Affairs Bureau in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The participating food & beverage buyers said the initiative to organize B2B meetings proved to be extremely successful and is expected to lead to important orders for Greek products. Moreover, thanks to the excellent organization and the quality products presented by the Greek companies, participants felt that a positive climate had been created which would lead to further exports of Greek products in the near future.

Given the strong interest by Greek food & beverage producers in the Brazilian market, Enterprise Greece is examining whether to incorporate further initiatives aimed at Brazil in its Action Plan for 2020, such as organizing a Greek trade mission to the country.
