A strong Greek delegation participated in the 33rd Private Label International Exhibition, PLMA 2018, held 29-30 May 2018, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, drawing significant interest in Greek private label products.
PLMA is the world’s largest and most important international exhibition of private label products, presenting what is most innovative in this field. The exhibition gives participants the opportunity to present private label products to a wide range of prospective customers, including major retailers, importers, super markets and discount super markets, wholesalers, etc. from Europe, South and North America, Asia and Africa.
More than 90 Greek producers of food, beverages and other popular products in the private label category represented Greece at PLMA 2018. The national stand, organized by Enterprise Greece and comprising 435 square meters, hosted 28 dynamic exporters, mainly in the food and beverage industry, who presented outstanding Greek food products. The foreign visitors showed great interest in Greek food, resulting in more than 1,000 B2B meetings between Greek exporters and trade visitors. The B2B meetings are expected to create prospects for further penetration of Greek products on the shelves of the world’s largest retailers.
Greece’s Economic and Commercial Advisor to The Hague, Mr. Dimitrios Koutsis, honored the national participation with a visit, during which he had extensive discussions with the Greek exhibitors.
