Greek Wines & Spirits at ProWine China 2019

Athens, 13 November 2019 | More than 50 Greek wines are on display at the Shanghai International Wine Exhibition, ProWine China – one of China’s leading wine exhibitions — which opened 12 November 2019 and will run until 14 November.
In the Greek stand, organized by Enterprise Greece, seven (7) wineries are presenting a wide range of sparkling, white, rose, red and sweet wines, as well as tsipouro, from all important designations of origin including Zitsa, Mantineia, Amyntaio, Santorini, Samos and Mount Athos. The wines are primarily from Greek indigenous varieties, already known and available in the Chinese market, and the exhibition will provide Greek winemakers with the opportunity to present their vintages to Chinese and international buyers.
ProWine China is now in its sixth year and is well established in China. Worth noting is that 750 wine producers and distributors from 39 countries participated in ProWine China 2018, while the number of trade visitors reached 18,900, an increase of 33.2% compared with ProWine China 2017.
The Greek wine industry has significant growth potential, and consistently attracts the interest of major international buyers at international trade fairs. Enterprise Greece, the national agency responsible for investment and exports, actively supports Greek wine exporters through a comprehensive action plan both in Greece and abroad.
