GREEN – TECH 2024- Enterprise Greece supports extroversion the agricultural production & technology sector

Athens, 26 June 2024 | Enterprise Greece organized and supported for the first time the Greek participation in the international exhibition GREEN TECH in Amsterdam, Netherlands, which took place at the RAI exhibition center in Amsterdam, from 11 to 13 June 2024.

It is the world’s leading platform and meeting point for professionals in the fields of agricultural production & technology, floriculture, horticulture, and botany, with emphasis on innovation: fruit picking robots, automated sorting machines, and drones for crop supervision.

Greece had for the first time a dynamic participation in the exhibition with the participation of 7 companies. The companies, Plastika Kritis S.A, Therace Group, Agrodip, Karvelas S.A, TIM Polytunnels Emmanouilidis, Palaplast, Organic Electronic Technologies Private Company, with a significant international presence, have managed to successfully compete with countries with a traditionally big sector, such as the Netherlands, Spain, Italy etc.

The exhibition included 5 specialized spaces that allowed the presentation of recent technological achievements worldwide, by the leading companies in the industry: 

  • Vertical Farming
  • Renewable Energy Sources (Renewables Hub)
  • Artificial Intelligence & Robots (AI & Robotics)
  • Medicinal Plants
  • Start-ups

Also, in the many parallel presentations during the exhibition with the participation of leading speakers from around the world, all new trends in products, services, and state-of-the-art solutions in areas such as smart lighting, plant health, resilient farming, and robotics were presented.

It is worth noting that the Ambassador of Greece in The Hague, Mrs. Katerina Gini, the General Counsel of the Economic and Financial Services Office in The Hague, Mr. Evangelos Dairetzis, as well as the scientific advisor at the Economic and Financial Services Office in The Hague, Mrs. Antigoni Babis, visited the exhibition and, in collaboration with the representative of Enterprise Greece, had a series of meetings with the Greek companies that participated in GREEN TECH. During these meetings, it was confirmed by all sides that the Greek participation for next year will be even more dynamic.
