HostMilano 2017 International Exhibition

One of the largest Greek delegations in recent years participated in HostMilano 2017, the world’s leading hospitality fair for equipment, coffee and food, organized every two years and held in Milan, October 20-24.

The Greek delegation was organized by Enterprise Greece with the participation of sixteen (16) Greek companies representing all manner of professional equipment. The Greek pavilion covered a total area of 900 square meters in various halls of the Fiera Exhibition Center in Milan. The participating Greek companies made an impression with the wide range of products they offered and received much positive feedback.

The HostMilano International Exhibition is considered the most important exhibition in the industry by the professionals themselves. The exhibition is faithfully attended both by established companies in the field, as well as new companies looking to grow their business and raise their visibility. HostMilano also provides a networking platform for participants and offers a host of well-organized contacts between professionals attending.

The products in the exhibition are not limited to professional equipment. Exhibitors bring products for the catering industry more generally, especially food products such as baked goods, ice cream, coffee, and other beverages.

At this year’s 40th event, the number of professional visitors reached 187,602 (a 24.3% increase from 2015), of which 38.8% (a 20.4% increase from 2015) were foreign visitors from 177 countries. In addition to European countries, China, the US and Russia are among the countries with the highest traffic.

The President of the Panhellenic Association of Catering Equipment Companies – SEEME – Mr. Ioannis Avgerakis said:

“The Greek manufacturing equipment presented at HostMilano 2017 is of excellent quality, comparable to that of European competitors. Buyers from many countries of the world have shown great interest in our products. I believe that our participation will strengthen our existing business relations and will increase the volume of exports over the next two years for the benefit of our industry and the Greek economy.

The appearance of our booths and the organization carried out by Enterprise Greece was excellent. I want to thank the management and the hard-working staff of Enterprise Greece for effective support and cooperation, which has resulted in a very successful Greek participation, with positive export results for our industry.”
