International exhibitions in Paris, Milan and New York open new horizons for the Greek fashion industry

Athens, October 17, 2024 – With 121 Greek entries, the spring editions of Who’s Next – Bijorhca Paris 2024, Milano Fashion and Jewels – Micam Milano 2024 and Coterie – Magic New York 2024 were completed with the support of Enterprise Greece.
The leading international fashion exhibitions held in September, are a benchmark for apparel, jewelry, and footwear professionals worldwide and attracted thousands of buyers, designers, and creators, showcasing the most innovative trends of the coming season.
More specifically:
1. The exhibition Who’s Next – Bijorhca, which took place from 8 to 10 September 2024, at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center, showcased the latest collections of clothing and jewelry and hosted more than 1,200 brands. In the Bijorhca sector, Greece won the 2nd place in the countries with the largest participation.
2. Milano Fashion and Jewels-Micam Milano combined the glamour of fashion and the art of jewelry with innovative shoe designs for four productive days, from 14 to 17 September, at the iconic Fiera Milano Rho exhibition center. 40,950 people visited from 140 countries, visited the exhibitions.
3. At the Javits Centre in New York, Coterie – Magic brought together the new trends in luxury fashion and accessories, with the participation of major brands and emerging designers from around the world. The Exhibition was completed with great success, hosting more than 950 brands in the COTERIE sector and over 340 participating companies in the MAGIC sector.
The national delegation managed to impress with the authenticity, quality, and modern design of the creations presented by the 54 Greek companies that participated in Who’s Next – Bijorhca in Paris, the 46 companies that represented the country at Milano Fashion and Jewels – Micam in Milan and the 21 companies that were present at Coterie – Magic in New York, leaving a strong imprint on the fashion runways and paving the way for new collaborations in markets in Europe and abroad. Emphasis was placed on sustainable fashion, as many Greek companies have adopted environmentally friendly practices, using ecological materials and ethical production processes. Greek designers sent a strong message about the importance of responsible consumption and production in the fashion industry, promoting products that combine high aesthetics with environmental protection. Inspired by Greek culture and Mediterranean aesthetics, Greek designers combine tradition with innovation by offering creations that exude authenticity and high quality.
In this context, “Greek Chic”, Enterprise Greece’s campaign for the recognition and promotion of the Greek fashion industry abroad, was presented at all events this September. The September Exhibitions were honored with the presence of members of the Economic and Commercial Affairs Offices of the countries in which they took place and had the opportunity to visit the Greek pavilions and talk with the Greek participants.
Referring to Greece’s successful presence in these important exhibitions, the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos, stated: “The strong presence of Greek companies at the international exhibitions in September confirms the dynamics of the fashion industry in our country. Greek creators have managed to combine tradition with innovation, proving that our country is not limited only to its rich culture, but is also a dynamic competitor in the international fashion arena. In 2024, the upward trend of Greek companies to expand their business activity in markets not only in Europe but also beyond European borders continues unabated. This trend is reflected in this year’s presence of Greece at the international fashion exhibitions in September, placing our country among the countries with the largest participation.
