Memorandum with the Region of Ionian Islands
Athens, 20 December 2019 | The Region of Ionian Islands, Enterprise Greece and the Agrofood Cooperative of the Ionian Islands Region have signed a memorandum of cooperation to promote business opportunities and the unique food products of the region in international markets.
The Memorandum was signed 20 December by Regional Prefect Mrs. Rodi Kratsa-Tsagaropoulou, Enterprise Greece CEO Mr. Georgios Filiopoulos, and Chairman of the Board of the Agrofood Cooperative of the Ionian Islands Region Mr. Nikolaos Mouzakitis.
The goal is to showcase to the world business community, among other things, the Ionian Islands as a center for entrepreneurialism in the wider Mediterranean; to support the outward orientation of small- and medium-sized enterprises of the region; and to strengthen the competitiveness and development of food and beverage products of the Ionian through joint studies, research and programs.
In remarks, Regional Prefect Rodi Kratsa-Tsagaropoulou emphasized the important the role of Enterprise Greece in promoting the region internationally through its marketing and business development programs, as well as through its network of domestic and overseas organizations.
