MIPIM 2023: Greece makes a strong presence in the largest international real estate fair

Athens, March 24, 2023 | Having made a big impression with its impressive kiosk and a strong presence through a series of contacts and promotion on big, international media outlets, the Greek mission organized by the Greek Company of Investments and Foreign Trade (Enterprise Greece) returned from the largest real estate fair, MIPIM, which was held in Cannes, France, on March 14-17, 2023.
The international fair with the slogan “Better places. Greater impact. Stronger business”, once again provided participating companies with opportunities of access to funds and a large number of developmental projects globally, having been established as an exceptional networking platform aiming to secure deals. The 32nd MIPIM welcomed over 23,000 visitors from the international real estate industry from 90 countries.
Practically showing its support for the domestic sector, Enterprise Greece organized once again the national kiosk for the 32nd MIPIM, with the participation of 11 important real estate development and utilization companies and bodies, including a delegation of the municipality of Athens.

Promoting Greece’s real estate market in MIPIM and the companies that participated in the national kiosk, Enterprise Greece Managing Director, Mr. Marinos Giannopoulos, gave a series of interviews to some of the largest international Media outlets covering the fair. Mr. Giannopoulos spoke to fDi Intelligence, the Building magazine, Real Asset Media, PropertyEU, The Urbanist podcast by Monocle, as well as to the official journal of the exhibition, Mipim news, and, among others, he spoke of our country’s geostrategic location and the fact that according to metrics, Greece is among the top tourism destinations globally. As the Enterprise Greece Managing Director stressed, “Greece is being transformed to one of the top destinations for real estate investors in Europe, with record-breaking inflows from foreign countries. Foreign investors show great interest of investing on the hotel sector, as well as on industrial, residential and commercial property, thanks to the available programs for real estate development. There is a special, Fast-Track licensing law for strategic investments, managed by Enterprise Greece, and special tax and other incentives offered through the national developmental law”.
Mr. Giannopoulos also called potential investors to become acquainted with the investment projects portfolio of Enterprise Greece, containing investments from non-utilized areas to current projects seeking investors and to proceed to making an investment in Greece.
During the MIPIM, Enterprise Greece completed actions to promote and support the national kiosk, such as holding a breakfast roundtable with the support of Deloitte, with the presence of important companies from the domestic and international real estate sector. It also held a networking event, allowing Greek exhibitors to develop collaborations, receive information on the sector’s tendencies, utilize new ideas and become acquainted with companies from other countries, with major influence. On Wednesday, March 15, it hosted a panel discussion, with the support of PropertyEU, with the participation of investors from Greece and abroad, who spoke of the investment opportunities available in our country.
