MWC24: 11th Consecutive Greek Mission at the World’s Largest Innovation Conference
Athens, March 11, 2024 | The largest national participation is co-organized for the MWC24 Barcelona international exhibition by Enterprise Greece, in collaboration with the Association of Innovative Applications Enterprises of Greece (SEKEE) and the Ministry of Digital Governance.
At the most important event in the field of digital technologies and innovative applications worldwide, taking place from February 26 to 29 at the Fira Gran Via exhibition centre in Barcelona, our country presented the largest delegation to date. Thirty-seven Greek innovative technological companies, with more than 100 representatives, will participate in the Greek pavilion (total area 154 sq.).
The national mission at MWC24 Barcelona has the support and active participation of entities such as the Region of Attica and the Regional Development Fund, EUROBANK, EGG, the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship “ARCHIMEDES,” the National Register of Young Enterprises “Elevate Greece,” the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA), the Athens Business Incubator (THEA), HELEXPO BEYOND, NBG Seeds of the National Bank, EKEFE Dimokritos, the European Innovation Hub for Digital Governance GR digiGOV-innoHUB, as well as the investment of Phaistos 5G Ventures fund.
In addition to the above organizations, the support of the mission from companies such as Samsung Electronics Hellas and Vantage Towers is extremely important. Also, the cooperation with the European network PRAXI Network, the Association of Mobile Telephony Companies (EEKT), the Association of Informatics Companies of Northern Greece (SEPBE), as well as the Association of Greek Emerging Technologies Companies (HETIA), shows a strong interest in the presence of the ecosystem in this international event.
In this year’s mission, among others, companies and institutions participate, such as the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE), Acromove, Aegean Solutions, Aether, Agenso, Argo Semiconductors, AthletesWeR, Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ΕΒΕΑ), bespot, Dotsoft, Excelon Financial Services, Evryka, GM395, Gnomon Informatics, Grapevine, HAM Systems, Helexpo Beyond, Athens Business Incubator (THEA), Intergo Telecom, Keyvoto, Lerna.ai, Liknoss Group, M-Stat, Modulus, Moptil, M-Sensis, NeaWallet, Neos Beyond Payments, Run4More, Safesize, Sammy, SmartRep, Tetragon, Tilematiki, Vantage Towers, Vertoyo, Ysoft.
The 300 Greek companies that participated in MWC in previous years had the opportunity to conclude important agreements and collaborations, and the results were also excellent in the field of networking. The relevant list includes many leading Greek innovation companies, which MWC significantly helped strengthen their extroversion. There were also cases where the foundations were laid for Greek companies to take the next step in their business development.
